Reader of books, lover of words, scribbler of ideas … I’m the girl who sticks pens in her hair and stops mid-sentence to scramble through her handbag and scribble something into a notebook. I have a great passion for literature and would happily spend days on end with my head in a book – whether I’m reading it, writing it, or asleep on it.
I completed my Bachelor of Arts/Diploma of Education (Secondary) before attempting to inspire young minds for a year. It was the year that nothing went to plan and, burnt out and needing a bit of inspiration myself, I wandered across a few different career paths, traipsed around the world with a backpack and my journals, and then finally got around to completing my Masters of Arts in Children’s Literature.
Now … I am a PhD candidate, I teach, I write stories, and I drink a lot of coffee. I’ve been a cake baker, a bra fitter, a student, a receptionist, a teacher, a backpacker, a jack of all trades … And I’ve always been a writer.
